Toni Boss - Mothers Opposed to Boredom Co-Founder
Toni is a born-n-raised Calgarian and single mother to almost 3 year old. Toni has a passion for the community and helping people. With 11 year`s experience in the Hospitality Industry, Toni made a transition into the non-profit sector in 2008, and has enjoyed it immensly. Toni takes her experience with previous life challenges she has been faced with, such as Thyroid Cancer and Post Partum Depression, as a vehicle to help others in anyway possiable. If you need a smile, Toni always has one to give.
Sonja is originally from British Columbia and that is where her love for children, animals and the outdoors began. Sonja has called Calgary home for over nine years and married her husband Wes in June 2012. They are expecting their first child in July 2013. She is the proud Godmother to a very active and adventurous boy named Marcus and looks forward to being a Mommy soon. She has spent much of her career focused on marketing and account management and loves the opportunity to be creative and use her skills. Sonja enjoys meeting new people and developing positive friendships and support systems. Sonja’s hobbies include travelling, hiking, camping, acrylic painting, cooking and walking her dog Riley.
Christine McIntyre Roysten
Christine feels very lucky to have been introduced to Mother’s Opposed to Boredom after moving to Calgary with my husband and 2 girls. There are so many great things for families to see and do in Calgary and we love exploring new-to-us places. With a background in community work, communications and fund development, Christine looks forward to helping Mother’s Opposed to Boredom on their journey to support Calgary families and provide a sense of community.
Tracy enjoys yoga, long walks with her dog Leia, drinking tea, photography, vegetarian cooking, driving vintage Volkswagens, and reading lots of books! She has a diverse background, having spent most of her career between management and early childhood education. Five years ago, Tracy discovered a passion for the non-profit sector, and has been engaging individuals and families ever since. She loves spending time with her 4 year old neice, and is excited to start her own family in the future. Tracy makes fast friends and loves meeting new people.
Elizabeth Holt Handlovsky
Elizabeth is a born-and-raised Calgarian with a passion for community. The majority of her working career thus far has been in the non-profit sector. She has been managing volunteer programs since 2005 and recently obtained her CVA (Certified in Volunteer Administration). After her second daughter was born, Elizabeth elected to stay home with her children and explore other opportunities, including volunteering. She lives in SE Calgary with her husband of six years and their two daughters aged three and one.
Nerissa is a single mother of two children; a son (5) and daughter (4) whom take up most of her life. Together, they enjoy travelling to the mountains, watching disney movies and dancing in the living room. When nerissa isn't with her kids, she is likely to be found walking by the river, or at her place of work. She is a devoted, loving mother, hard worker, and devoted adventurer.
Janna spent most of her high school years and beyond participating in things like We Day and science camps, guiding her group and learning right along with them.Janna has a strong love for children and a need to assist in the development of our future generations. With this love and need, Janna coulod be found spending most, if not all of her time right along side them. Be it at camp, teaching preschool, or working in childcare facilities this is wear Janna feels the most at home. In 2011 Janna welcomed her Daughter Aria into the world with much excitement. Now 2 years later being offered the opportunity to assist with furthering Mothers Opposed to Boredom and life has come full circle. Joining MOB is like joining the success of the next generation and I couldn't be more thrilled!
